After the death of a parent many orphans find themselves relying upon the kindness of strangers for shelter, food, education and emotional support.

With Islamic Relief's One-to-One Orphan Sponsorship programme, supporters are caring for thousands of orphans in over 20 countries around the world. Orphans receive emotional support, and financial support towards shelter, healthcare and education.

Donors often like to send their orphans small gifts, perhaps on Eid or on other special occasions.  A gift sent with love, perhaps from thousands of miles away, can make an orphan feel special and cared for.
